Pre-printed Stationery Replacement

Oganisations like yours face four problems when using pre-printed stationery:

2. Waste - When details such as telephone numbers and names change, reams of pre-printed stationery often become redundant.

4. Printers - Pre-printed stationery loaded into a particular printer for one job, restricts its use by other jobs.

By taking advantage of the multitude of digital high-speed printers available today, the need to use pre-printed stationery has become less of a necessity. Despite this, the print data that is output from many mainframes or servers cannot be modified to include the pre-printed stationery element of the output. Furthermore, many document composition packages are too complicated to setup, maintain and operate - so much so that their advantages do not outweigh the cost of training your staff.

To resolve this, FunAsset can provide you with a software solution called FormServer that can be seamlessly integrated within your existing system to enable you to quickly and easily replace your pre-printed stationery with an electronic equivalent.

The distinct advantage of FormServer is its ability to use electronic stationery created in any Windows based DTP, design or word processing package (i.e. Quark, Illustrator, Word).

Using third-party applications to generate the stationery has three distinct advantages:

1. The cost of training staff is kept to a minimum.
2. Existing electronic stationery can be used.
3. The cost of FormServer is kept to a minimum because no WYSIWYG page layout functionality or support is required.

How FormServer Works

FormServer is integrated within many FunAsset TN Interface Task applications.

The Task containing FormServer can be installed on a FunAsset TN Interface PC Chassis or on a standard PC with suitable connectivity and integrated anywhere between your data source and destination.

FormServer reducing your pre-printed stationery requirement

Print data is received by the TN Interface or PC and is analysed on-the-fly by FormServer for jobs that require electronic stationery. When identified, the electronic stationery is dynamically added to the print data before being output.
